Overview
501(c)(3) nonprofit serving families across the Bay Area each holiday season. Operates out of the Silicon Valley Moving & Storage warehouse in San Jose with a seven-plus-person team. Rebuilt on Next.js and Vercel from the prior Cloudflare-hosted version and live at joeystoydrive.org.
The challenge
Joey's Toy Drive started as a small holiday initiative and grew into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Bay Area families with a seven-plus-person team. The existing site couldn't scale with the operation: weak on mobile, no clear donor flow, no sponsor pipeline, and no way to communicate the year-over-year impact that sponsors want to see before committing.
The approach
Migrated off Cloudflare Pages onto Next.js and Vercel so the JTD site shares the same stack as Silicon Valley Moving & Storage and joeychildsmedia.com. Donor flow front and center on the homepage. Sponsor proposals downloadable inline. Impact metrics surfaced prominently. SEO targeting Bay Area toy drive and holiday giving terms for the high-intent November and December window.
Outcomes
- Rebuilt on Next.js and Vercel, live at joeystoydrive.org ahead of the next holiday season
